You can ask Claude to write, edit and render a product video without leaving the chat. Fabeo exposes its video tools over MCP (the Model Context Protocol), so Claude can call them using your own Fabeo account and credits. This guide shows the setup, a prompt that works, and what it costs.
What you need
- A Fabeo account (new accounts get 1 minute of free credits when they sign up).
- Claude with access to custom connectors.

Connect Fabeo to Claude
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Click +, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Fabeo and paste

- Click Connect.
- Sign in to Fabeo and click Allow.

A prompt for a product video
Start with the brief, not the tool names. For example:
Using Fabeo, make a 30-second product video for a stainless steel insulated water bottle. Audience: commuters. Tone: practical and upbeat. Open on the problem (lukewarm coffee), show the product, end with a call to action. Show me the script first.
Claude drafts the script and asks for changes. Because the chat is the interface, edits are plain sentences: “shorter hook”, “mention the 24-hour cold claim only if I supply it”, “swap the CTA for ‘Shop now'”.
Tip: give Claude real product facts. Do not let it invent claims such as “keeps drinks cold for 24 hours” unless the product page says so. Advertising claims are your responsibility.
Edit for free, pay when you render
Writing and editing scripts is free. Rendering costs about 1 credit per second of finished video. So the habit that saves money is to iterate on the script in chat until it is right and only then ask Claude to render.
What it costs
Fabeo charges $3 per rendered minute pay-as-you-go, so a 30-second spot is roughly $1.50 of credits. Plans include monthly minutes: Professional $12 for 4 minutes, Enterprise $24 for 8 minutes, Agency $39 for 15 minutes (about $2.60 per minute). Do I need to know MCP?
No. You paste one URL and sign in.
Does Claude see my Fabeo password?
No. You sign in on Fabeo’s own page and click Allow. Claude gets an access token through OAuth, never your password.
